        o I upgraded to gcc 2.8.1 on Solaris 2.5.1 and did:

        I had been on gcc 2.7.2.1 which showed this internal
                compiler fault

        o MySQL 3.21.32a, Mysql 3.21.33, 3.22.3-beta, 3.22.4-alpha
                have all been OK since if one does:

./configure --with-low-memory

        to avoid the out of memory compile problem due to inlines
