I have Oracle 8 on Solaris 2.6 running Apache 1.3.0 and PHP 3.0.1....for
some reason under heavy load (and after a while) I get httpd processes
which seem to connect to the database and just hang. They don't go away
and they don't drop their connection to the database. I am really at a
loss on this one. We have looked EVERYWHERE suspecting PHP last....but it
is now time to check PHP out.
I read of a similar problem under Oracle related bugs in the bug list at
www.php.net entitled:
Repeated access to Oracle database causes normal CGI script to hang
The comment is that this was probably fixed...however, this is the EXACT
behavior we are seeing.
Any help or insight is appreciated!
Thanks!
Mike
