        That would be a neat thing to do. I did find a barcode TTF that works.
The name is 3of9_new.ttf and I think it corrects some flaws in the original
3of9.ttf. One of the things I was doing was creating the barcode and
sending the created gif to a web page. Then I saved the resultant image to
a file. Our barcode decoder is built into our viewer and it wouldn't
recognise the barcode no matter what barcode font I used. However, on
advice, I printed the web page then scanned it on our normal document
scanner and then used our viewer to view the image and that's when I could
decode the barcode.

But, that brings up other questions for barcodes in general (not just 3 of
9 but others too). Is there a need to create barcodes with PHP? Either
using functions or as an internal function. Hmmmm.....
