Are you using the Mac version of Navigator? I've found that long, complex
tables can take incredible lengths of time to display on Navigator under the
Mac OS. The same page can be almost instantaneous on a 32-bit Windows
machine.
However, I have noticed that MSIE on Mac OS does the same thing, so maybe
this isn't your problem.

This is a very good idea for long, complex tables.
