I personally still use POP and I'm pretty happy about it. I haven't
bothered to change, not because my Email server doesn't offer it but
because I don't have time and I don't want to upgrade my Email client which
I'm pretty happy with and had smoe problems with the new version.

I think creating a newsgroup which is linked to the mailing list would be a
good idea. I'm not quite sure if and how it can be done though. What I'm
talking about is that all of the mail on this mailing list gets also
automatically post to the newsgroup, and that all newsgroup posts and
answers also make it to the mailing list. This way, you would have full
access to all of the PHP related matters from either the ML or a news
group. Anyone know how this is done?

As a PHP developers and I don't mind getting so much PHP related Email. But
I think the average PHP user who is still using POP, probably doesn't like
getting flooded with PHP related Email's all day long.
