Yeah, that's basically what I decided to do.

I ordered LC Linux from Linux Central last night, which has the
GPL-distributions of RedHat 5.2, S.u.S.E 6.0, OpenLinux 1.3, Slackware 3.6,
and Debian 2.0, on 8 CD's for $15 including shipping. Of course, these are
the "unofficial" versions, except for maybe the Debian, and don't include
any manuals, etc. Sort of the sink or swim approach. But that's what I did
last time with the Slackware version. It's nice that I can do it with CD's
this time, rather than having to rawrite 50-60 disks.

At least this way, I can see which one I like best, and then get its
"official" boxed version.
