[PHP3] php3 + gd 1.6.3 From: php-smk <email protected>

Hi, Does anyone have installed php 3.0.12 with gd 1.6.3 ?

I'm didn't able to create a PNG, I get a php error, which
is saying I can use the the function (unavailiable.)

Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function
imagecreate() in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/gd.php3 on line

I have also try with gdImageCreate, With an without caps,
but php seems to be not case sensitive.

I have recompiled apache many times, php many times,
tryed to imcorporated gd to php with many way.
dl();
vi php3.ini
and staticaly linked in php, with no result ;(
I'm worry, I need gd support in php !
I will be considerably happy if anyone can help me with
this library.

Next, I have a strange problem with the config of
php3.ini !
hmmm, so strange that I didnt know its really a problem,
The fact are I can write anything(garbage) to this file
without get any error message. I think error message is
very usefull to help admin in configuration of Linux/*NIX
Box.

Finnally, A little notice to tell to the developper, Why
you didnt incorporate GD as a part of php ? I think gd is
important for many poeple and do not cause problem to
poeple who didnt want it.
