[PHP3] How to call a function of oracle from php From: Jennifer Zhou (jfzhou <email protected>)
Date: 03/10/00

Hi,

I wrote an oracle function like :

CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION Test RETURN varchar2
IS
 v_temp varchar2(12);
BEGIN
    select 'hello' into v_temp from dual;
 return v_temp;
END Test;

But how can I call it from php program? I use

 $stmt = OCIParse($nDBConn,"begin Test;end;");
 echo ("<p>stmt is $stmt</p>\n");
 $ret=OCIExecute($stmt);
 echo ("<p>ret is $ret</p>\n");

Where to put the return variable?
