[PHP3] Informix Driver From: A NG AUSYD MISM (Andrew.Ng <email protected>)

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of PHP 4.0 for Windows NT v4.0 and
everything seems to work fine for my little exercise over the weekend.

I am actually interested in the PHP's capability to connect to various
backend data sources. I managed to get the ODBC module to work with
Informix server on both NT and (SCO) UNIX platforms. However, when I try
to use ifx_connect() instead of odbc_connect(), it complains about an
invalid function, in fact, I tried ora_connect() and it seems to me that
the version I got only supports ODBC connection and not any of those
direct connections to Informix, Oracle, etc.

If this is correct, can some let me know if the Win32 version of PHP 4.0
will ever support direct connection to Informix, or it is only for
UNIX-based PHP versions only.

By the way, I do have the latest version of Informix SDK on the NT
platform where the Microsoft IIS v4 is running.
