Hi,
I'm working in a big project. I need a fastest and trustworthy SQL Server
to use with PHP. The scripts must have access to +3.000.000
registry distributed in many tables. Users will insert and select data all
the time. Which is best the freeware SQL server to do this
job? PostgresSQL or MySQL? There is no complex sql query ... but I'm
expecting up to +30.000 pageviews/day.
I already write scripts to interact with both Postgres and MySQL, but never
with this amount of data. What should I do? What is the best (freeware)
solution?
My hardware configuration:
- PIII 500 with 256 MB RAM
- HD 17 GB Ultra Wide SCSI
- Red Hat Linux 6.0
- Apache 1.3.12
- PHP 3.0.14 (module)
Please, any help will be welcome.
