[PHP3] Error Compiling PHP4RC1 From: Jason Cox (jasonc <email protected>)

I am compiling PHP4RC1 on Redhat 6.2(intel) as an apache mod with MySQL,PostgreSQL,GD,LDAP,and IMAP. I have the MCrypt libraries installed but don't want to compile PHP with MCrypt support. Seems that even though I don't specify --with-mcrypt , it finds it anyway and throws errors like 'Invalid Max Salt Len' or something to that effect. I've posted on that error before and basically came to the conclusion that RC1 doesn't work with MCrypt yet. But I can't even get it to compile without Mcrypt if it's installed. Can anyone shed any light on this one?
