Re: [PHP3] PHP + Netscape Enterprise Server From: Allen Francom (aef <email protected>)

Well, since I'm using PHP both with Apache and NES 3.62+4.1(iws)
I guess I should say something.

Of course, on NES you have to run PHP as a Module.

NES does fairly well, performance-wise, but I'm talking
Solaris E450 with only 40,000 subscribed users.

Apache does better and up until the newest NES, apache
worked better on SMP boxes. Now I'm not so sure.

Apache has proven to be EXTREMELY reliable in comparison
to NES, which is terrible since we have some SSJS apps
that die miserable deaths.

I think you will be happy with PHP/cgi on NES
unless you have a super high load and don't do
any results cacheing tricks.

We run ours that way against SGI/Oracle databases.
