Hi there.
I'm curious to find out what everyone on the list prefers to use for source
control. I've looked at (and used) CVS and I can see the benefits to using
it in some situations but wasn't sure it really made sense in most web
development environments where the files are small and (probably) should be
locked to prevent people from stepping on each other's toes. But, I do like
the revision history/rollback functionality of CVS very much. What does
everyone else do for source control? Homemade solutions? Open Source
solutions? Commercial solutions? I'd love to hear what people are doing to
get some control over their web projects in a team environment.
Also, I'd be interested in seeing if people would like to see a source
control app done in PHP and MySQL that would be mainly for web development
teams. It would be Open Source - of course :)
Thanks,
Josh Hoover
