Marian,

Take a deep breath...reality check time...

(1) the code snippets you're sending do not show enough of what you're
actually doing to make it much more than a guessing game at what's broken

(2) the information you're providing regarding the actual results and
errors you're getting is not enough to help much either

Getting mad at the people that are trying to help you in spite of (1) and
(2) above is not in your own best interests.

Exhale.

Now-
(a) post ALL of the code you're using - cut and paste it into the
message, _do_not_ think you can just type in the code and not make any
transcription errors that will undo any attempt to help you
(b) cut and paste the errors that PHP is giving you
(c) check the permissions on the files _and_ the directories involved
(d) try testing in a directory that is NOT password protected
(e) simplify the code down to just the basic functions to be sure that you
can in fact do the fopen(), fputs(), fclose() operations successfully.

You are posting to a list that has a longstanding (5 years) reputation for
providing generous and expert (not me) help to all comers -- don't get a
reputation for biting the hand that feeds you.

HTH you get back on track and toward getting some help.
