I started messing around with file storage just for kicks (ended up with
screenshots site below). I'm not having any problems here.

Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) PHP/4.0b3-RC5
mysqladmin Ver 7.12 Distrib 3.23.5-alpha, for pc-linux-gnu on i686
