[PHP4BETA] help. dynamic linker error with mod_php4 From: Alexander Douglas (alexd <email protected>)

howdy all,
We are having some problems getting our server up after adding some php_modules.
I am getting an dynamic linking error when I run php as an apache module.
I added a module that calls a C++ library and everything works fine as a CGI. Both
  the httpd and php execute from the same environment.
Any ideas?
    Is there something else that i need to add to the httpd.conf file?
    do I need to change my apache build?
    should I avoid using APXS?
Syntax error on line 252 of /opt/release/pkg/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /opt/release/pkg/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: ld.so.1: /opt/release/pkg/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: relocation error: file /opt/release/pkg/apache/libexec/libphp4.so: symbol __pure_virtual: referenced symbol not found
