Hello,

Here are a couple of things that I find a little wierd in
the ./configure process of php4-cvs:

1) I've got the jpeg library, and it is correctly found :
        ==> checking for libjpeg (needed by gd-1.8+)... yes
   The php_config.h file shows :
        /* Define if you have the jpeg library (-ljpeg). */
        /* #undef HAVE_LIBJPEG */

   BUT, it works nicely...

2) "./configure --help | grep jpeg" shows :
  --with-jpeg-dir[=DIR] jpeg dir for cpdflib 2.x
  --with-jpeg-dir[=DIR] jpeg dir for gd-1.8+
  --with-jpeg-dir[=DIR] jpeg dir for gd-1.8+
  --with-jpeg-dir[=DIR] jpeg dir for pdflib 3.x

  Notice "jpeg dir for gd-1.8+" appears twice...

That's not critical at all, more for the "purity" of the thing,
if some m4/configure/buildconf guru has some time... :)
