[PHP4BETA] mcrypt and PHP4 and 8i From: Nicholas Plank (nick <email protected>)
Date: 04/30/00

Hello All

First post = stupid question but:

I run PHP3.0.15 on AIX RS6000 with Oracle 8i and Apache with modssl. Now
also with mcrypt which was tough on the compiler and my nerves.

But I did try initially to go with PHP4 but even though I did not select
mysql I got it and this mysql part of the apache build failed miserably. So
I gave up and went back to good old PHP3.

Am I missing something or is the next anti-trust suit to be against PHP for
bundling mysql?

All comments gratefully received, also did anyone else go through hell to
get mcrypt up and running or am I truly dumb?

When does PHP4 get a final release? And will Zend release an AIX build?
